How do you learn about the world? Well, one way is reading. To be precise, the standard answer for some may be non-fiction. There is much technical knowledge that can be gained from those tomes, I concur. Yet, it is fiction that truly enlightens and liberates.
Through fiction, we can experience the feelings and motivations of people as they are affected by different circumstances. This lets us empathise with them and see things from their points of view. We gain a broad, general worldview that does not discriminate, rather seeing through the illusions that countless people are trapped by, allowing us to arrive at what is truly important.
Such is the power of fiction.
It is my hope that we can learn from these tales together, understand the world better, and live better as human beings. Be it book, drama or whatnot, let the vast inspiration attainable through fiction be an empowering force.
Let the reviews begin.
