Now if you ask how I thought of this name, I’d say it’s because it’s linked to the themes of the root chakra, which is survival. Aka that which living is predicated on, existence? But nope, before I go too abstract, I’ll quickly say that I’ll be writing about very mainstream, normie themes today.
As in, right off the bat, I think I can split this article into three categories, financial, nutrition-health and nutrition-exercise.
…Yeah, doesn’t mean that just because I like to talk about stupendously… out of the mainstream stuff, I can only talk about them! Like, basic stuff like this is still! an essential part of human flourishing!
Anyways, I’ll get started.
Now, finance.
So what shall I say about money? Money is an energy, hindered only by energetic blocks like lack and fear…
Nope. Nothing like that. Just more elementary stuff.
Alright, so. Basically, money is the fundamental resource we require to exist. And we do that by saving money! Sometimes, bad things happen to us. And to counter that, we pool a money and share the risk such that the percentage of people that the bad things happen too, shall get that money split amongst them. That’s called insurance. And no, this ain’t sponsorship. Just a basic lesson.
In the meantime, insurance companies also offer endowment plans. That’s where they kinda force you to save a sum of money every single!! year for a consecutive number of years, locking it away for you essentially. Once the maturity sum is over, you get back the whole lump sum of money! Yay!
But then again, that’s often because people have no habit of saving at all and need someone to help them with it.
See, in Singapore, there’s even CPF! Part of your salary gets directed to a savings account every month and the CPF board helps invest it for you though it’s assured, of course, and if you want to leave the country you can get your money back, of course. The main thing is that when ya retire, you’ll get all that money back to help live out your remaining years in peace and relative comfort! Woah!
Still of course, these are all kind of just plans that first posit a target recipient who doesn’t save, only spends, and would just kind of squander it away otherwise, and that isn’t really true isn’t it!
Now for people who are savers, hoarders even who like to feel good simply with a sizeable amount lying there, haha, what do they do? Why, they invest. Why? Well, one thing is inflation in the sense that money diminishes in value over time and you gotta combat that. The other thing is why, it helps your money grow and net passive income!
Now, speaking of investing, many people would immediately think of speculating, akin to gambling. Now that’s more of a myth tbh. See, even in investing there are risk profiles. And yes, some people do indeed try to time the market and go for get-rich-quick schemes. But at least, in essence the idea is that you can just have a much lower risk profile where the growth rate is not that high, but the meat’s that it’s consistent.
And why would you want that? Well, it’s simply because investing is like a snowball! Over time it piles up and accumulates and becomes super insanely hefty in size! And then you earn big just by existing alone! See, the key thing is passive income…
Okay, I’m about to end this section because I don’t really enjoy talking about money. It’s not exciting to me. Just want to conclude by saying a few things. One, if you want to invest and you’ll lazy ILPs by insurance companies are a good option I suppose. Just make sure that the main thing the policy does is investment and not protection. Stick to a fundamental ‘real’ insurance one for that! Next, reinvest your dividends or whatnot if you don’t need them!
(Man, I’m really feeling like a money person writing this. Don’t like it. But whatever, it’s just a third of an article.)
Finally, liquidity. It’s good to have some money which you can technically take out to use at any time as necessity demands! Just if possible, make sure that you got some gas in that snowball of yours, yeah! And there are also short-term money things like fixed deposits or T-bills in Singapore (which are become much less a thing in recent days) where you can just let your money sit for a short period…
But it still can net you a reasonable return of a few hundred dollars maybe! (It’s based on a percentage of what you put in, of course!) Just gotta make sure that it’s some extra money lying somewhere around, you give it to them and lock it in their vault and they give it back alongside some extra dough. And then it goes back into your savings…
Anyway, that’s the end of this section! Just wanna say that only spending and never saving is massively overrated! As in, reallytrulyhonestly think of yer big picture folks!!!

Next, health-nutrition.
Okay, basically there are three major things that we get in food that our body needs. They are proteins, carbohydrates or carbs for short and fats.
Now at least for me personally, I ignore fats when thinking about what I need in terms of nutrients because I’m sure they’ll always be there! And hey, you all know where your body stores those extra fats yeah! Ouch…
Anyway, proteins and carbs. For proteins the first thing that comes to mind is obviously meats. Now for many people who love eating meats upon meats that’s obviously great because you’ll surely get enough! It is also somewhat common knowledge that people eat protein to build muscle and look like Dwayne Johnson.
So there’s nothing much I think needs to be said about proteins.
Except, well, maybe you could be aware of some sources of protein rather than meat? As in, I’m quite sure that tofu and eggs both have them, so if you’re looking for a balanced diet, you might want to take that into consideration.
Now carbs are where there is so much more to be talked about. For instance, did you know that most snacks, be it biscuits or cakes etcetera… they all seem to contain carbs!!!
The lesson I learnt from this: quality over quantity. Don’t eat such carbs unnecessarily. Only do so when you really feel like it and are having a ‘luxurious food day’!
See, the main concern here is calories. In order to maintain your weight your calorie intake gotta be matched to your calories burned. Otherwise you’ll just gain weight and become oversized yeah. And well, technically you can if you want to, but if you don’t, fair warning!
And similarly, if you want to lose weight just make sure that you burn more than you consume!!
So anyways… just a quick tip regarding what you eat. Maybe it’d be a good idea if you can consider what goes in them! Like, get one of those healthy snacks that are also tasty! Their market share should rise logically, probably, maybe?
Oh, and one more thing. When talking about carbs, you cannot not talk about fibre. Fibre is important for digestion and such, see. It’s why fruits and vegetables are important to eat! So I believe that it’s pretty important to at least get a minimum amount of them every day.
I’ll just say that fibre is precisely the reason why I no longer get fries at Macdonald’s as the side and only get salad now despite the rise in cost. Generally speaking.
Anyways, back to healthy food beyond meals. Just some examples. For example, nuts are things that contain both protein and fibre. Like if you really think about it that’s kinda amazing right! It’s killing two birds with one stone, plus they can taste really good too, even addictive! My mama loves nuts. Huh.
Another thing to consider. Fruits.
Did you know that in some hospitals at least, they serve fruits along with every lunch and dinner? Reason? Why, health of course!
On top of being good for health, I think I read somewhere that fruits can fill you up also and make you feel less hungry. Another thing to consider!
Then I could also talk about how wholegrains are good for you, whereas in contrast there might be this myth that cereals are healthy but you just a quick search of Google provides a Healthline article which dispels this myth and reveals that no, maybe many cereals aren’t! healthy after all…
Anyway, just want to say that maybe you should be more conscious of what you’re putting into your bodies! Drinks even! Rather than always drinking soft drinks, maybe sometimes something more healthy but still! rather delicious like green tea would be nice?! Consider it.
Anyway, I don’t want to sound like a nagging mom because that cramps my style, so I’ll quickly head into the last section of the article. Heh.

Finally, health-exercise.
So exercise keeps you healthy, essentially. It’s also one way to keep your calories consistently burnt!
Now speaking of exercise, I suppose you can split them into cardiovascular or cardio and strength training.
So the way I see it, strength training is dual. One thing it does is sculpt your body into a more ideal shape that is preferred by you. The other thing is that it increases your functionality by enabling you to do more things. Examples would be, I don’t know, handstands or backflips or maybe even parkour I guess. I mean, that’s just the mobility branch of the skill tree yeah.
Anyways, cardio. Cardio is basically where your heart is able to sustain your body for long periods of exercise. In that sense it is kinda synonymous with stamina, but there’s also that added aspect of your muscles potentially being strong enough to sustain exertion.
So for cardio there’s more moderate kinds, like just a leisurely jog or swim or cycle or whatever, whereas there’s also the more intense kind, such as the all-out sprint or timed obstacle course challenge like Ninja Warrior I suppose.
Now, I would like to quickly draw your attention to the opposite of being healthy through exercise, which is being sedentary.
See, I read on Google somewhere that you can be considered sedentary if you walk less than 5000 steps per day! Which is equivalent to about four kilometres, and yes you can track that by watch or app or whatever. Anyway, that was real news for me, and now I ain’t sedentary anymore. Heh.
So I rather! encourage doing at least a bit of cardio everyday through walking to maintain your good health! At least, that’s probably kinda something that you will have to do anyways everyday regardless, so. And I suppose if you really want to be hardworking you could even climb the stairs instead of taking the lift or something, huh.
Now, for those people who are too overly motivated, one word of caution that there is no actual need to do it excessively! Though towards… your level of enjoyment, you can still do more if you want! See, in the sense that, many people aim for 10000 steps per day. As such, one might think it’s scientifically backed and good to hit. But it isn’t exactly!
Well, I heard that that step challenge was just something used for marketing by some Japanese company. Purely advertising yo! Regarding health, I heard 7k is the no. to hit 4 longevity!
Anyways, I’ll just quickly promote cardio by saying that it’s a really good feeling when your stats increase and you’re able to do many things that you weren’t able to in the past. Like challenging yourself, so to speak! So for people who like to expand and reach new heights, maybe!
The main word for cardio is consistency, I believe.
As for strength training, first of all I heard that it’s good to alternate between different parts of your body, thus leg day or arm day or whatever to get a good overall training. Though if you’re not a gym person or don’t really see anywhere that needs to be shored up I mean, you could totally skip it!
By the way, I’m totally not a gym person yeah.
Different varieties make a world.
Anyway, one final suggestion. Maybe you could incorporate a bit of exercise every morning after you wake up as part of your daily routine. As part of your warmup for life so to speak. Idk, could be interesting! Maybe you might wanna try it, who knows!! But anyway, at the very least. Don’t be sedentary, yeah! Try to hit a minimum baseline at least?
Alright, I feel very not used to talking about this kind of very mainstream topics but well, it’s over and it was nice enough.
Just want to say that this is all related to the themes of the root chakra! See, the root chakra relates to whether you feel secure in life. So if you have enough money for a decent enjoyable lifestyle, and you feel physically healthy too…
Fine, one last thing that came to mind. Just a quick reminder.
So basically, I wonder how mainstream this knowledge is? Because it’s kinda related to health as well. See, in tantra they say that your body is your temple. And one way of worshipping your body is by the maintenance of your appearance!
So there’s soap for the body, there’s shampoo for the hair, and that’s what they give in hotels probably, but it’s important to know the fundamental that there’s facial cleanser for the face too! And obviously you needn’t go to the extent of putting on day creams and night creams and serums and all that, but according to my limited knowledge, it’d be nice! if you could put on some moisturiser as well. I suppose.
Anyway, that’s it! So I suppose to conclude, I’d just like to share that being spiritual and focused on alignment and all that does NOT!! necessarily dictate a rejection of, an aversion from physical life!! Rather!! You can still have a healthy loving relationship with it!!
Ok bye. Back to a more normal topic for me next week. Phew.
