A basic introduction about myself: As a deep thinker, I was actually a philosophy major in university. The word Eudaimonia is a term coined by Aristotle that means human flourishing. That is what I aim to kind of get people closer to through expressing higher perspectives on this blog.
Interestingly enough, my blogger name here, Daimon, can be seen as a literal offshoot of Eudaimonia! Heh. Anyway, so first of all, I’ll explain the phases this blog has been through, and then I’ll go into my portfolio.
Phases:
1: Back in my first job in 2021, this blog was something I just ended up doing in my free time. Main was about Life, sides were VR and Fiction.
2: This blog ended up as a portfolio and got me into a content writer job writing articles for a blog(2022). No longer there but developed my pen.
3: In 2024, I spent several months posting articles bi-weekly here and I got 44 articles out in total.
4: I’m back! With greater clarity and intention than ever. Writing this rn.
Alright, so I’ll refrain from talking about articles here (though I have actually gotten some keywords to the first page of Google search results before tbh) and move into my works in other disciplines.

Webnovel Translation:
Into late National Service and through much of university, I was a freelance translator who translated Chinese webnovels into English. I’ll just put the licensed one that was more or less fully done by me here. It’s being hosted on Wuxiaworld by the way, and you can read it if you want. Note: I am no longer doing this kind of work though!

The first one still defines me best. It’s actually a… utopian novel! Hint: keyword in title! I wrote it at what… 19? When I was still in National Service. Before Philo even! By the way, I think in concepts and almost no images at all, so that kind of limits the enjoyment for certain people I would think! Anyway these are all self-published on KDP.

And maybe someday I’ll paste a number of test webnovel chapters that I once wrote here, which didn’t actually translate to being full novels. Just exploratory!

In 2024 I acquired the new hobby of a being a singer-songwriter. I’m more confident about the lyrics and I think the melody is fine too, but I must admit that the accompaniment is pretty barebones! Hopefully it’ll improve in the future, but for now, it will suffice!

Actually, I kind of think of this as a little auxiliary, but… like, since I wanted to release my songs, I used Canva to make the album covers myself!

Acting:
So in end 2024, I actually played the role of Fred in the play Meet Fred, effectively starring in it I suppose… It was a ticketed play, yeah 2 shows.
I mean, I can’t actually post a play here! But anyway, I’m optimistic that there will be more fun performances to come!
Oh, by the way, in the original show Fred is actually a puppet but so we adapted in and I played a human puppet, with puppeteers and all. Hah!!

Alright, that’s the end of this list of my own works. Certifications and such are not attached! Obviously, you will probably have realised by now that I am more a generalist than a specialist! A multipotentialite so to speak. That’s just… well as Lady Gaga said, I was born this way!

Alright, I’ll just put it this way. I believe that the greatest thing one can achieve in this lifetime is to become their highest expression, or their fullest potential actualised. I myself am walking this path, and so I compare myself only to me along my upward trajectory.
I won’t preach, but my philosophy is such that I would very much like for all of us to strive for the same as well! In more spiritual terms: break out from the autopilot matrix that you are in, question, gain awareness, and be intentional in your actions!
