Where others only see things as they are
I see them as they can be
Yeah maybe right now they’re not quite there yet
But the future – isn’t that precisely where we’re heading?
So I’ll excavate turn things over and refine ’em
For all brilliant inventions first arose in right the mind!
An unexamined life is not worth living
Thus said Socrates who went around questioning everybody
What’s behind this belief what’s behind that pattern
Only when you’re aware of that can you fix everything
Slowly but surely I sieve through it all
Purer finer more crystalline like a diamond I become
Life is a series of expansions
I’m never satisfied with the status quo
I’m always looking for that new thing that has eluded my mind
And into my life I try to incorporate it
I can’t imagine a life without growth
No I suppose that’d be fantastically boring
I delve into varying systems
As a devourer of knowledge
Where others are content with the surface
I gotta understand underlying mechanics
Because hey as I see it
Where’s the point otherwise?
I never ever accept ideas right off the bat
Just because ya say it doesn’t mean it’s right
No I’ll always put it through my own processes
And then if it makes sense I suppose it’s right
But say if I feel that nope it doesn’t work
However much you’re qualified sorry it’s a no-no
Yeah I suppose I’m kinda stuck in my head
I’m chock full of thoughts compared to the average Joe
And perhaps that makes life so much more complex
But even then I assure you it’s not that everything’s concepts
I still can have fun and enjoy my life
The only difference is that I’m much more intentional
Oh… I dare you to walk a day in my mind!
