Saturn Return – Dam prithee, cease thy impediment!

So on the last day of this week’s end, here am I faithfully crafting a post like I said I would. 🙂 This is going to be an astrology-themed article, but I’ll be attempting to keep it more accessible to people not familiar with it as well. So here goes!

Now, first off a quick introduction to astrology. People usually say they know their zodiac/star signs, but all they know is really their sun sign. 🙁 Actually, astrology is illustrated in these ‘birth charts’, with all the planets existing in one of twelve houses at the time of their birth, and each house holding one of the twelve zodiac signs.

I lowkey kinda feel that if you want to say you’re into astrology, you should probably know your birth chart but… it’s really free country man.

Anyways, today I’m not going to talk about the most basic Sun Moon rising or even the Big 5 which are the most foundational planets. Instead I’m going to talk about Saturn, the teacher planet. I also won’t explain the nature of more than 6 of the 12 houses in order to not overload the mind, even without I bet this is giving it a plenty enough stretch already hah.

I also want to emphasise that there is a good reason why I want to talk about Saturn today, and it will be revealed in the paragraphs to come. So let’s begin.

Now, according to astrology, Saturn is where you’ll face an impediment in your youth. But in your late twenties into your early thirties, your Saturn return happens. That’s when Saturn returns to the same planet it was at when you were born. At the same time, a massive upheaval happens in your life that upends it and sees you make all those breakthroughs. Thus the dam that was previously there is totally transcended and you prosper.

…So the backstory is that in a fun astrology conversation with a like-minded soul yesterday, he mentioned Saturn Return and afterwards I realised omg that precisely matches what’s happened in my life! Woah. Hence this article.

Anyways I’ll be expanding on it here so it can serve as like a proof of sorts for you, and then you can go check your own placement if you want. Here goes.

My Saturn placement

So my Saturn is in Aries, borderline between the 11th and 12th houses. Yeah, planets can do that sometimes. Hover between and share the themes of both. So right now Saturn is in Aries, just like in my natal chart, so it’s my Saturn Return.

I won’t talk about Saturn in Aries because it’s more about the houses that I want to talk about here… Basically the 11th houses is the house of your relationship within communities and the 12th house is about your ability to passively surrender and just go with the flow. Hmm. I think I’ll just talk more about the latter first. Let’s begin.

8th vs 12th house

So as I see it the 8th and 12th houses are most related to inner growth. First of all the 8th house is the house of inner work, rebirth and transformation. Incidentally it truly matches – my Sun is in the 8th house and I’m kind of really well described by how much inner work and growth!!! there’ve been in my life!

Next the 12th house is more the house of surrender to the universe, co-creation and just being lived. The house of Pisces, it’s very inner world.

Anyways, I would like to relate this to me having in only very recent years starting to totally live like that. Before I was living more separately from the universe, I mean not literally but through my actions. Now, I have merged kinda to the point of living in alignment! So this breakthrough seems kinda nicely linked to Saturn because hey, that dam was released, dayum!

But of course, I feel that this is probably quite hard for you all to understand so instead I’ll just move into the other category, more of the meat of this article.

7th vs 11th house

So this section is more about human relationships.

Basically, I feel that human relationships relate the most to these two houses. 7th house is more for those close 1-1 relationships while 11th house is more of the wider community relationships. Oh, uh, well that 3rd!! house does govern family relationships, neighbours and such especially in the early life, but let’s set that aside as irrelevant here…

So the first half of my life at least was kinda without real relationships with other people, in the sense of actually caring about them and wanting to cultivate them. Why? Well, because I was literally always just immersed in a work of fiction lol. But afterwards I became better able to hold my own socially so to speak. But, hmm, kinda without very super what I’ll call soul communion merging kinda relationships. Which, let me supplement a bit…

Interestingly enough, I have Venus in Scorpio in the 7th house, the house of 1-1 relationships. Scorpio is the soul-deep very transformative house. That’s why I kinda have this innate preference for those soul communion merging kinda relationships. Well, not that I’ve actually managed to score those before but! So yeah, I was actually always kinda low-key aiming for such relationships and sore because I couldn’t get them!

…Things were much more surface level always? Or they just weren’t interested. Huh.

Alright, so the breakthrough, the release of the dam so to speak yep! Okay, so… it’s really really super recent for me. Basically where it’s like an epiphany of sorts?? came for me and now I’m totally okay with more temporary small talk kind of conversations too. Like in the past I’d just remain totally clammed up during intermissions and not speak to anyone at all! And I never questioned it!!! Now? Hah, 360. I go talk to peeps.

And do it quite smoothly too, I might add haha. Evolution baby.

Anyways, Saturn in 11th house – inability to really have good relationships with the community – overfixation with strong 1-1 relationships.

Now? The blockage is gone. I can now have normal quick conversations with other people and actually enjoy it. The growth is real!

Oh, and I still prefer those soul communion merging kinda relationships I suppose, because they do make me feel most invigorated and alive, as I suppose other people would derive from other activities. Even then!

Even without those super deep heartfelt thoughts, I can just enjoy being a conversationalist and vibing already. Or I can just do pebbling which I’ve heard being termed as ‘micro-reciprocity’. Don’t just be limited to one!!!

Yeah, and I must emphasise that an important lesson to learn for some people is to be full and complete even outside of those relationships, and especially not to people please. I won’t go on about this though; you take away from it if it is relevant yourself. Relationships simply add on, like an icing on the cake!!!

9th house stellium, conclusion!!!

So basically, nearing your first Saturn Return, your life will start to be upended. Be happy, for likely this means that some dams in your life are about to be broken!!! For me, they were the dams of transitioning to being able to live in alignment and surrender and also no longer being always this silent outsider totally out of place in communities but actually being able to chat with and really vibe with other peeps as well!!! Heh.

Seriously yo. Once I’d just be totally silent and not talk to anyone at all. Now? Well, I say hi and bye more and I chime in with thoughts also.

Finally I want to point to the 9th house. I promised I wouldn’t talk about more than 6 of the 12 houses, and this is the final one lol.

So basically, the 9th house is usually the house of expansion. The sign of Sagittarius (my sun sign!) is native to it as is the planet of Jupiter which signifies expansion. If the 3rd house is the lower analytical mind, the 9th house is more the mind of higher learning and all the big concepts and expansion.

…So I got a stellium in the 9th house which means at least 3! planets there… For me it’s Jupiter, Neptune and Mercury. And huh, the guy I was chatting happily with yesterday told me that Jupiter’s powers are super expanded with Neptune its neighbour hah! Figures. So anyway, a placement like this totally matches how I am this sort of person who’s always so into this kind of thing and writing about topics like these.

And always trying to expand too lol.

So with that I’m gonna end off this astrology article. Now I suspect astrology is quite niche and many people aren’t go know about it in depth. I think it’s also totally fine and all if you aren’t interested in going to learn more in depth about it at all. I mean, you probably have your own planet stationed in some house in your natal birth chart and that perfectly does match and explain why you’d be more drawn to that thing instead okay.

Still, I’d like to emphasise one final time to pay attention to Saturn, what house it is in and the Saturn Return provided!! that you feel it is relevant to you. Again, I’d like to emphasise how I’ve kinda had a block in the 11th house especially all my life, but just so recently, perfectly matching my own Saturn Return, that dam just released!! and ceased its impediment. Now I have much more leeway, relaxation and belonging within communities.

And with that I end my article about a kinda thing that I can nerd out about sometimes. 🙂 Like I totally did with the dude yesterday. Who has also gone through immense! inner transformation in the past before if I may add.

So moving on with that, I’m obviously intending to post an article next week too! And it’d be kinda nice if it wasn’t at the very precipice, on the last day of the weekend! And I’ll try to make it a topic that doesn’t!! have that much new information entering the brain as a totally new discipline or system altogether. Though for me of course I betcha my upcoming article will still be deep heheh. Oh, so we’re into March today huh! Interesting…

Here’s to a good third month of the year folks! May the blessings and breakthroughs be duly on your way, as per all your dutiful work!

Daimon out. 🙂
