I chose to reclaim my life and live for me – here’s why you should too

So today I’m kinda exhausted and drained because I pushed myself a lot yesterday. Well, in a good way where I’m happy I’m tired! Still I already had the topic beforehand since Friday and I’m also thinking to just get this done with, a short one if possible, and then tick it off the list and rest. So, here goes.

So one trap that people might fall into is this. They work their whole lives, have work become their whole lives and don’t have an identity or a life outside of work. They only start to truly reclaim themselves after retirement, where they are made to face the liberating yet terrifying freedom it brings. Only then do they start to truly live for themselves, maximising their remaining lifespan to the fullest.

Those years of toil – how many years of our life wasted is that?

Instead I promote a different strategy – first, go into an isolation period so to speak, away from all the shoulds and everyone telling you what to do. Truly discover and reclaim yourself. As you grew up to become an adult, how much was truly chosen by you and how much is just latched on, because circumstances just nicely happened to flow that way? Fine out what truly matters to you. Then, even as you work, live to the fullest.

For you see, work is such that it is meant to ensure survival. And after that, atop survival, what you do is naught but living. Of course, the money that you secure for survival from work – its very, core purpose, rather than only being something that it’s good to have a lot and a lot of, though that is also perfectly fine and valid if you want – what this money does is that, as a form of abundance, it enables you to be able to do what you want to do as you so desire.

Yet, many people fall into the trap of having ‘no life’ and only existing to secure their survival, not truly living their lives atop that. Only after they retire do they realise that they had their attention misplaced all along, to have overlooked what was truly important, what they should have been doing.

Thus, reclaiming your power. Craft the life that you truly wish to live… Only then should you begin your career, and you should!! totally still build your life around that work, which is naught but a means of survival at the end of the day… Of course, I get that some are totally passionate! about their work, and that is amazing. Still, sometimes especially work has to be more of a compromise to secure our survival, due to the way society is rn…

Of course, this isn’t exactly inherently inbuilt in the fabric of society – rather, it’s actually a societal construct just as work is!! But before society sees fit to progress past this stage of our evolution, so it must be that work is nigh essential for our very survival. And again, the lesson is that we should not totally see that as who we are. Instead, we are to have reclaimed and be living our true selves on top of that. Even to the point of…

See, there is this model going around where people first work because they have no choice but to. However, when the time comes, they leave. Why? Well, it’s because in the process of doing that no-choice work, they’ve built a stable, solid foundation for their true passion, what truly alives! them. Thereafter they admirably birth it into the mechanism through which they secure money and its abundance into their life, to truly prosper and thrive.

Ultimately, it all falls back down to building a life of alignment for yourself. When you are aligned, it flows and flows and flows. Everything feels good. And such is truly the ideal life we should be living as truly representative of who we are. Living the life that we actually want to live – not uninspired, mechanically going through the motions and never feeling true joy…

Trust that abundance is the nature of the universe. Aspire to elevate to your highest timeline, be your highest version of yourself, and the universe truly does have a way for you to get there. The ideal where everything you are doing is so truly you. You need not copy what everyone else is doing – you need only be yourself, your true, authentic self.

So at the end of the day, if you don’t take away anything else from this article, just think about this question – is my life, as of this present moment, truly built, finely crafted around work to an amazing degree such that I am truly living to the fullest?!!

Again, said work does not have to be your everything and you can, should have a life outside of it that truly fills you up. Better still if you can make a career out of something that truly aligns with your own identity, earning!! off of it. Maybe a couple more decades down the road, that will have become our new status quo even, who knows? But yeah, LIVE!

And again, I’ll reiterate that life right now is such that we often already have everything we need to do planned out for us. Thus, our choices aren’t truly intentional. Instead, we simply operate on autopilot and do what we know we’re supposed to do. In that sense, our power as creators of our lives are sadly stifled because we’ve simply never thought of it before!

Some people only get to discover who they truly are and live for themselves after retirement. Well, personally I myself have been on a phase where I have explored and discovered this for myself and been the creator of my life. Going into the future, even!! as I progress with my career and such, my life now will always be centred around who I truly am, most enabling and prospering me myself.

Once you are found, no longer truly can you be lost. Don’t lose yourself over, say the rat race and competition over trying to get a really great job that is really high-paying and gets people to be in awe of you for a few moments until they forget all about you. No, do it for yourself, the stimulus and fuel that truly lights you up. Be in a life of unadulterated joy.

Did you know? The place where you lose yourself – it’s also known as the matrix. It’s the collective unconscious where everyone does things instinctively just because it’s what everybody else is doing…

Ultimately, you should be truly intentional about your choices. Is this really what I want? Is this really serving me? Am I really enjoying this life? Are these actions of mine aligned to taking me to a place that’s my dream wholly blossomed life? Think about it. Actually know what you’re doing and why, why dont’cha.

Explore and reclaim who you truly are! Build your life around that to thrive true! Even work can be but mere hours that you log in in the process, a distraction from what truly lights you up! This overall resplendent life that results from a life you love – is unmatched!!

And of course, I must also mention, if I didn’t before, that it totally! includes appreciating your loved ones and truly seeing them and paying attention to them and loving them and having fun together. As opposed to taking them for granted and not truly paying attention to them until serious matters crop up. But yeah go take that class that interests ya. Reward yourself with the thing that you’ll likely never buy otherwise, defeating the whole point of you earning money in the first place? X!

Live as though YOLO, so live to the fullest. Otherwise, you just grow old. Defeated. Lifeless. Resigned…

And so I will end today’s article here. It’s been fun. Till next week ye half-imaginary delulu-ed up peeps!
