Life: Excavate, Refine, Arise

Hey all!

Today, I’ll muse a bit on life as usual.

Now, something I firmly believe is that everyone is unique and valuable in their own way. Everyone has got their own strengths and weaknesses. Now surely it would be best to shore up those weaknesses somewhat to the point where they’re not a nuisance, but other than that, one achieves their fullest potential, really, by making the most out of these strengths.

Anyway, as I see it, one of the most primary and fundamental and also essential things we should do in life is excavate ourselves.

Think about it. Picture ourselves as mines, full of hidden precious ore just waiting to be excavated. Now maybe there are some common metals lying there also that can be easily unearthed! Still, just excavating those alone doesn’t really value-add much to anyone at all! No, really, I’d rather think of them as just stopgap measures.

Mainstays, there to last?

No! Instead, much of life early on, at least, is much better understood as a slow and gradual excavation of these precious ores, analogous to the abilities we innately possess and are gifted with. For some, they are gifted with the realisation early on and can quickly move on to the next step, that of refining. However, for others, the excavation is just longer.

And so it takes longer before you’re truly living to your fullest…

Twists and turns, wandering here and there, picking up this and that, being tempered! by this and that experience… ultimately, though, we finally discover that which we’re innately built by life for, so to speak.

A very good way to think about it is this – everyone has a different role to play, as together serves to encompass and fill every single aspect of life. These are the aspects they’re all individually gifted in or meant to do as granted and blessed by life, one might say.

Thus, one step is, through all our life experiences, slowly but surely exploring all the different things and finding out what is truly, truly, undeniably suited, even seemingly tailor-made for us. We add one element into our lives, and after incorporating it, see if it fits well…

Eventually, though, we will come to discover our calling or purpose, as one might call it. And through this, we derive our identity.

Think about it this way. You’ve probably undertaken some part-time jobs for upkeep or such in the past? Some manual labour, even?

Well, just think about these job roles. Okay, maybe you served as a waiter or waitress for a while. Even so, when asked about your identity, would you define yourself as that? Now that you’re long past that and become something you resonate with much more?

Why, probably not! You only took those jobs as a stopgap measure, because you had to. It’s not like you really resonate with the jobs, considering them an integral part of your identity!

And there you have it! These roles simply aren’t how you identify yourself! Perhaps this latest role you’re currently in is something you identify with much more, and you might even proudly declare yourself as someone of that position!

Anyway, I feel it really is quite an important part of one’s life to have an identity that they can really unapologetically declare themselves as. Like, because that is where they derive meaning and purpose!

For those who’ve located and identified theirs relatively early on, all I can say is good for them. However, for others, they must first journey through life and be tempered by its experiences… before finally, they maybe just end up stumbling upon it, even!

Or maybe it was something they knew all along, yet never had the courage to pursue! Who knows?

Anyway, a great part of life is to excavate oneself and identify these roles that one just seems tailor-made for. Proudly, they’d jut their chests outwards and declare that’s who they are! As opposed to not really identifying with it that much and just seeing it as temporary!

And more often that not, you’ll just innately accept those elements that are meant for you while pushing away those that are not! Because you just inherently are more receptive to some things, and averse to others!

But ultimately, maybe after what feels like a long-ish journey, life will lead you to where you belong, and finally you can embrace it.

And now for the necessary process: refining!

Now, these may not necessarily go in chronological order. They can happen simultaneously! For example, I’ve found myself writing on and off since way back even before, I’d say, I properly refined my ‘craft’… Anyway, those things that you like to do you will end up doing anyway!!!

And most probably, you will have insights along the way and hone your abilities!

And finally comes arise. Now that’s when you’re really resplendent and radiate, for that’s your time to shine.

Having properly excavated yourself and refined said abilities, now’s the time for you to live to the fullest, be the greatest expression of these abilities which the universe had decreed you be incarnated with.

Oh, and spiritual people would say that these desires were placed in you by life for a reason too.

Simply put, a great way to see life is that you only truly fulfil it when you are able to be a fullest expression of all that it gifted you with.

Some would say that only then do you TRULY do life justice!

And anyway, leaving spirituality aside, isn’t it true that you’re really, honestly living to the fullest when you are in your fullest expression?

And in that case, isn’t living to your fullest expression something you really should strive towards?

So, why not try using some of your free time to excavate your hidden potentials lying dormant? To become a fullest version of yourself?! It also means living to the fullest yo!

Huh, additionally, life becomes much fuller when it’s got more content doesn’t it! Just think of this excavation as an adventure that you set out on!

And without fail, you will be able to appreciate the refining of these skills and the boost it brings, and finally, you’ll soar. Like, seriously.

So think about it! How excavated are you? Try to achieve your true highest, fullest potential today!

On, and finally rather than ending I’ll add on a little something okay.

Now, the thing about life is that your work won’t be appreciated by everyone. However, it will surely be able to resonate with a select category of people.

And that’s the whole point!

See, the way we’re created is more or less that we’re simply not for everyone.

Why then! In that case, so be it!

Simply know that there are some people that really appreciate your work. Simply do your work in part for them as well!

Niche? Okay, whatever! Got it!

Just know that where some people see something appetising, others unfortunately spy a turn-off.

Like, some people feel queasy and nausea at gore, whereas others must admit that they’re actually somewhat turned on by it to be honest!!!

So, as human beings, we are naturally creator wannabes of some sort.

Know that there will always be those who appreciate your work!!! Seriously, have no fear!!!

Just trust that you have this gift for a reason, okay. Seriously!

And hey, don’t you enjoy it too?

Furthermore.

How about you just trust that nothing is without a reason for once and believe that there is invaluable mineral lying therein, waiting to be excavated!!! Go refine your gifts, yeah!!!

Anyway… if you remember nothing else, maybe remember this?

Soar, reach your fullest potential. Truly. You’ll enjoy it.

Heh. Had no idea what to write about so I wrote late today. Hope this turned out okay. Phew.
