4 self-love tips to all the selfless hard workers out there

Hey there! Today I’ll be writing about self-love, particularly for those selfess hard workers who are very responsible and dedicated and don’t really know how to properly calm down and relax! That is because the first thought that comes into their minds is always what more they could possibly do for the sake of service.

So if that applies to you, feel free to read! But otherwise, out of curiosity, you could just take a look too and see if you can glean anything useful from it! And so, I’ll enter this article proper now.

  1. You yourself are sooo important

Oftentimes, what my selfess hard workers do is that they dedicate their energies to others without reservation. Sometimes, this is even somewhat at the cost of their very own wellbeing!

Now, in that case, I’ve got something for you guys to think about.

Do you believe in equality?

Well, being the great beings you are, you probably do! In fact, you probably believe that everyone, regardless of whatever might sadly segregate them from others, is unequivocally worthy.

And that’s also why you always give to them when needed!

But hey. Aren’t you a person? Aren’t you someone as well?

Don’t you have needs? Don’t they also have to be fulfilled?

Like, seriously.

Now, don’t feel sad. Anyway, the answer to this question is that obviously, hey, you’re someone too, and someone very worthy at that, considering how you always go above and beyond.

And the logic is that before serving the needs of others, you first gotta properly ensure that your own are properly met as well! For only then are you qualified to give sustainably!

So please, go on reading, and let’s take that step.

2. Self-awareness is key

The first step behind any inner work is always self-awareness. First you gotta explore deeply into yourself, to know how the present you is like. For only then can you see what needs to be worked on and improved.

So right now I’m going to list down some of the traps that a selfless person might fall into.

First, they may be too demanding on themselves.

Like, even though there may not be anyone monitoring and supervising them and forcing them to give their best work, the way they are is such that they will definitely give it their 100% no matter what. So much of their thoughts are along the lines of ‘what more can I do’ and ‘hmm, is that enough?’.

Thus they do fall into the trap of overthinking!

And because of how they are, selfless hard workers might not be so great at relaxing during and enjoying their free time.

Think about it. Like for some people, relaxing is their middle name. They spend like literally all their free time doing it.

But for others, relaxing might not be so easy after all! Instead, they pleasantly have all their so-called ‘to-do needs’ met by all those responsibilities that they have been committed to carry out.

Then, in their free time, when they are supposed to relax, they are stumped. Like, what am I supposed to do now?!! Not only that, they could even think of overly committing to some of the leisure activities they partake in as a form of decadence!

Just imagine how others spend hours upon hours of their free time on those activities without guilt!

So again, if your first instinct is always to go execute the next thing which you’ve committed to or are responsible for and you can’t just relaxedly immerse yourself in doing nothing productive and simply enjoying yourself, please, go on reading!

3. Enter the moment

Here’s a quick test.

Now, just take your eyes off the screen for a moment around you and simply look around.

Can you very clearly and visibly see everything or is your perspective marred by furrowed brows, deep concentration and distracting threads of thought?

Well if it’s the latter, then honestly speaking, I tell you, you are stuck in your head.

See, if you are in the mode of vision, you can clearly and distinctly identify everything in your line of sight.

However, if you are stuck in perspective, your line of sight is more or less blurred out for you as all that enters your consciousness and awareness is merely the stray thoughts! lingering about you!

Like maybe this or that is causing you some kind of anxiety. Whatever the case, you are somewhat tense and can’t really relax!

So what you gotta do now is immerse yourself into the present moment and soak in said energies.

Well, think about it this way.

Did you know that yoga actually means union?

See, it is meant to create union between your mind, body, soul and the universal consciousness or life itself.

Now that may sound kind of hard for some people to comprehend, but really, just think about it this way.

Right now, at this very moment, are you feeling the enjoyment of existence in your own body?

Just throw your elbows back, have a good stretch and feel the pleasure of said sensation.

See, this is something I realised several years ago.

Do you know how some people are able to just laze about on their bed for hours upon hours?

Meanwhile, selfless, hard workers are more of the kind to just wake up and go do stuff when they’ve woken up.

The is simply because of the fact that they are kind of ‘on the go’!! They are immediately attuned to the state of doing rather than the state of being, so to speak.

Now, I want y’all to try this. Next time, when lying on the bed, for example, just feel into your very body and try to have a sense of that enjoyment of existence! Now, this may sound somewhat strange… still, do try it!

Basically, what you’re doing is simply entering the moment and soaking into that energy. Removing yourself from being stuck in your head in the process.

Anyway, a quick litmus test is really just to see if you have proper vision or are stuck in perspective, and I have a really great way to extricate yourself from your head if you are somewhat stuck in it!

Nature. Simple as that. Nature.

You know how spiritual people always talk about being in nature?

Well, nature is life, and nature is beauty.

When you soak and immerse yourself in nature, you’ll just somehow naturally find yourself no longer stuck in your head and instead just admiring its beauty. Simple as that.

Oh, and another tip that might help. Try engaging in art! Like sing, dance, or draw… like that’ll really help you in relaxing your very being into the present moment!

4: Be your own lover

Now, this is the final step that I’ve thought of.

Now, if you’ve spiritually developed enough, you’ll probably know that one should be complete and whole on one’s own. Like, those who look for other people to complete them are literally going about it a wrong way!

However, there’s one thing I’d like to reiterate here.

Now, this may very easily just seem like a conceptual thing.

Like, okay, I’ve gotta learn that it’s okay even I’ve got nobody else. I actually am perfectly fine independent! I can still live to my fullest!

But here, I’d like to add on something.

Hey, how great are you actually with your own company? Even if technically speaking, that’s all you’ve got!

Do you secretly have thoughts like ‘right now I can’t really enjoy doing this activity on my own, but I suppose that once I’ve got a partner, we’ll love doing this together’!

Anyway! The thing I’d like to say is this. Hey, friend. Why not try being your very own lover for once!

Like, you might say that you’re perfectly fine with or without anyone else’s company, but honestly speaking, who can say if your subconscious mind is actually feeling incomplete!

Now, basically, the tip I have is this.

Now, doing things by default, we are automatically trapped into the perspective of we as ourselves. Like even overthinking and all that stuff.

However, why not try this! Take yourself out of you for a moment. Seriously think of you as someone you’re looking at.

Then, feel the company of you yourself!

And tell yourself that that’s great company!!!

And enjoy being in the company of said being!

Like, seriously. You should try that!! It might help!

Think: How can I help this being I see here to have a really great time?

And then try to go make that happen!

At the very least, helping yourself feel more comfortable and love your own company more is like super meaningful, isn’t it?! For whether you like it or not, life’s such that you’ll have to spend time with said person anyways!

In that case, why not you enjoy you more!! Hah!

Anyway, this is something that I think is more helpful for those who’re more other-oriented than self-oriented!

Like seriously, this might sound a bit strange, wacky and whimsical, but just think about the fact that our bodies consist of we our conscious side and a subconscious part of us that often goes unnoticed, that is affecting how we operate in this world… enough said.

This brings me to one last important thing that I want to talk about.

Sometimes, you go thoroughly unappreciated and/or people say bad things about you. It may sting at first, but as you grow, you’ll learn to overlook that and pretend it doesn’t exist. I know I’m me, this valuable me who is indeed giving it my all!

Still, what I wanna say is that negating a negative does not equate to a positive!!!

Instead, fragments of said negative may even still linger within your subconscious mind and drain your positivity and energies somewhat.

So overall it’s still a negative! Which much less not that great, is bad!

So please do one thing for yourself, okay.

Instead of merely remaining in neutrality and fending off the negativity, remaining unbothered by it, why not try to appreciate, love and feel good about yourself!!!

First, that makes you feel better about yourself!

And additionally, who knows! Maybe like doing affirmations, the positivity therein will get stuck in your subconscious! No.1! This seriously makes you feel better about yourself! No.2! If you believe in the law of attraction and all that, it’ll also help to attract similar positive things to you and allow you to soak, indulge in all their glory! Yay!!!!!!

Anyway, I hope all that can certainly inspire you to do better for yourself!

Conclusion

So reading up to here, the most important thing I would like you to do is really know how to properly relax and enjoy yourself. Please do not let your enjoyment be decadence or a defeated something that you gotta do anyways, so you just find some placeholder that seems good enough and satisfy yourself with that.

Love yourself!

And rather importantly, from that point forth, find activities which most align with you and bring you real enjoyment!!! And go indulge in them, and live this life to the fullest! Cause literally, just by existing alone ya already deserve it!!! Like seriously yo!

Not only is that something spiritual people would say, especially considering how you may be more other-oriented than self-oriented and can’t really let loose and enjoy and simply be all that much…

Anyway, that’s the end of today’s article! Like I seriously think that today’s article topic is kinda more niche and weird and some may not even be able to understand it, but I’ll just write it for the sake of writing it, and hopefully it’ll be of service to some somehow!

Yahoo! Adios!

Phew. Haven’t eaten anything today yet, haha 🙂
